- Amadeus and Viva Aerobus sign agreement; flight offering is added to its travel agency sales platform
Amadeus Travel Platform connects Viva's offers with one of the world's largest networks of travel sellers and travel corporations for flight search and booking
With this agreement, Amadeus will contribute to the airline's passenger and agency sales growth
Amadeus, a leading travel technology company, andViva Aerobus , Mexico's ultra-low-cost airline, signed an agreement that will allow the airline's services to be included in theAmadeus Travel Platform .
Amadeus Travel Platform connects Viva's offerings with one of the world's largest networks of travel sellers and corporations. Travel Management Companies (TMCs) and travel agents will be able to review the airline's flight and seat availability and make the necessary reservations and arrangements for complete traveler satisfaction.
"Travel agents will be able to search, compare, book and carry out after-sales operations, with the advantages derived from the integration of sales in their mid and back-office systems. All this in a fast and reliable way, through a single channel, which will allow them to spend more time on the best advice to their customers," said Mariano Ludevid, Airline Distribution director, Amadeus. "In addition, with the arrival of Viva to our distribution system, they will have more flight options, at low prices in accordance with the airline's philosophy, for the benefit and satisfaction of all travelers," he added.
This agreement with Amadeus will contribute to the growth of passengers and sales of Viva Aerobus, an airline that is amid an expansion phase. In the first quarter of 2023, Viva has already launched more than 10 new routes, adding more than 130 services to domestic and international destinations.
"As a result of the extensive global network of travel agencies to which Amadeus gives us access, we will be able to find new business opportunities and continue our sustained growth. With Amadeus' advanced technology, it is also very easy to personalize trips, attending to each passenger's profile and, consequently, providing the best travel experience," said Andrea Rodriguez, sales director of Viva Aerobus.
This alliance is yet another example of Amadeus' commitment to offer travel sellers the most comprehensive and relevant content from any technological source, with seamless integration into their daily tools and processes.
