Carol Borg is the Chief Financial Officer of Amadeus, responsible for the company’s financial resilience and sustainable growth. Carol focuses on building robust financial foundations that empower Amadeus to manage, fund, and invest in transformation and growth, both organically and through acquisitions, in a rapidly evolving market. By aligning financial strategy with Amadeus’ purpose to make the experience of travel better, she enables the company to support customers and partners while delivering long-term value across the travel ecosystem.

Carol brings over 30 years of international finance experience across technology, energy, and defense sectors. Before Amadeus, she was Group CFO at QinetiQ Group PLC, where she drove profitable growth and led strategic acquisitions. As CFO at Lightsource bp, she transformed finance and governance processes, supporting bp’s full acquisition of the business. Carol also spent a decade at Vestas, holding senior roles including Head of Strategy, Risk & Governance, and Regional CFO for Southern Europe, MENA, and Latin America.

Carol holds degrees and qualifications in finance and business from leading institutions in Australia, including Victoria University and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Australian-born to Maltese parents, Carol brings a wealth of international perspective to her career. Carol has lived and worked in Australia, Denmark, the UK, and Spain, and finds inspiration in new challenges, diverse cultures, and helping others unlock their potential.
