New user interface and unused ticket indicator enhance Amadeus e-Travel Management
Amadeus Quick Shopper functionality streamlines and improves traveler experience
Miami, FL, July 9, 2007 -- Amadeus, a global leader in technology and distribution solutions for the travel and tourism industry, today launched the latest version of Amadeus e-Travel Management, the company’s flagship online booking solution for corporations. With new, time-saving functionality to streamline and personalize the traveler’s experience, the new version of Amadeus e-Travel Management offers the Amadeus Quick Shopper user interface, an unused ticket indicator, the ability to search for air by arrival time, and additional direct links to external travel providers, all within the context of the customer’s corporate travel program.
Amadeus will demonstrate these enhancements at the upcoming National Business Travel Association (NBTA) International Convention & Exposition, booth 613.
Just three clicks to a complete itinerary with Amadeus Quick Shopper
Amadeus Quick Shopper is a new user interface that lets travelers search for air, car and hotel concurrently, and from a single page. With Amadeus Quick Shopper, travelers can book a complete itinerary in as few as three clicks.
Unused ticket indicator makes the most of travel budget
The unused ticket indicator gives travelers access to a list of their available unused tickets, from which they can easily choose a ticket and request that the value be reassigned to an upcoming ticket purchase. The unused ticket indicator also allows travel managers to view, manage and promote the re-use of purchased, but unused air tickets, which can help companies save on travel spend.
Convenient access to localized services
Travel managers can now give travelers access to additional, company-approved, external providers such as local car services and independent hotels. This feature also includes the ability to link to select carbon management suppliers so travelers can measure the environmental impact of their trips.
Since the content available to travelers is determined by the corporate travel program, travel managers can feel confident that travelers are adhering to business travel policy when selecting local service providers.
The latest version of Amadeus e-Travel Management also features the ability to search for flights by arrival time, as well as a new auto-complete function which provides travelers an instant, predictive list of city, airport or rail stations.
Commenting on the latest and most personalized version of Amadeus e-Travel Management,
Marcos Isaac, Director of Corporate & Distribution Channels, for Amadeus said, “This latest version of Amadeus e-Travel Management is the next step forward in helping to make the booking process a far more ‘tailor-made,’ improved travel experience. Access to many different local and external services for users makes the overall experience far more bespoke and therefore helps to drive up adoption rates. Through the unused ticket indicator, companies might also choose to re-evaluate whether the booking of non-refundable tickets makes financial sense and to manage overall travel budgets more cost-effectively.”
