US Helicopter now flying with Amadeus

US helicopter's fares and inventory are now live in Amadeus GDS, available to subscribers worldwide

MIAMI, July 16, 2007 – Amadeus today announced a participation agreement with US Helicopter Corporation (US Helicopter). The agreement makes US Helicopter inventory and fare data available and bookable by all Amadeus subscribers, including more than 89,000 travel agencies and corporate travel management companies worldwide.

“Amadeus works everyday to empower our subscribers with the leading technology and relevant content required to deliver superior customer service,” said Peter von Moltke, Senior Vice President of the Airline Business Group for Amadeus North America. “We are thrilled to bring US Helicopter’s innovative shuttle service and its significant time savings, particularly for busy global business executives, to our agents and travel management corporations around the world.”

For Amadeus subscribers, the agreement provides additional choice and value by offering agents new travel alternatives to meet client needs.

US Helicopter serves JFK InternationalAirportand Newark Liberty International Airport from New York City heliports in midtown and downtown. Its fleet of Sikorski S-76 helicopters flies travelers over gridlocked city streets and congested interstates to and from the airports in just eight minutes.

“Whether stuck in gridlocked traffic or standing in line at the airport, these travel hassles burn both time and money for today’s global business executive,” said Jerry Murphy, chief executive officer and president of US Helicopter. “We are excited to bring our eight-minute airport shuttle service to Amadeus’ GDS.”

US Helicopter also accelerates other common travel slowdowns. At the heliport, for example, customers on outbound flights with partner airlines can check-in, obtain boarding passes and check bags through to their final destination. Heliport facilities also clear passengers through TSA security.

With frequent scheduled flights in partnership with Delta Air Lines at JFK and a codeshare agreement with Continental Airlines at Newark Liberty, US Helicopter’s service is an increasingly attractive option to domestic and international travelers with business in New York City, one of the world’s top corporate destinations.

In addition to airport shuttle service to and from Manhattan, US Helicopter also connects Manhattan travelers with Bridgeport Sikorsky Memorial Airport in Bridgeport, CT.
