Amadeus North America Elevates Head of Sales Tom Cates to Chief Commercial Officer position

Prior to Amadeus, Cates headed up System One’s organizational development department, a role he held when Amadeus acquired full ownership of System One in 1998. In 2000, he moved to the sales organization as Senior Director of Travel Agency Sales and was promoted to Vice President in the spring of 2001. His responsibilities continued to expand and he was promoted to Senior Vice President of Sales in 2002.
Before joining System One in 1992, Cates worked in the banking industry, serving as Vice President of Sales and Management Development for Great Western Bank in
