Orbis Travel starts cooperation with Amadeus Poland

Orbis Travel to implement Amadeus solutions for distribution of travel products and services

Warsaw, July 18, 2007: Amadeus, a global leader in technology and distribution solutions for the travel and tourism industry, has signed a five-year agreement with Orbis Travel, the largest travel agency in Poland. Advanced solutions will be used to support distribution of travel products and services offered by Orbis Travel.

Under the agreement with Orbis Travel, Amadeus Poland will provide comprehensive solutions supporting distribution of travel products and services offered by the agency, such as: air tickets, hotel bookings, car rentals. Orbis Travel will also use the mentioned tools to distribute travel offers, prepared by Centrum Turystyki Wyjazdowej. Amadeus solutions to be implemented at Orbis Travel will also facilitate online sales of products and services.

Agreement between Amadeus Poland and Orbis Travel is effective as of beginning of July this year. Orbis Travel will use Amadeus’s basic solutions for everyday services and new offers for travellers, which can strenghthen its position on the market. Due to the nature of the implementation and the scale of operations, all elements of the new solutions will be available to employees of all offices and to customers by the end of 2007.
