Amadeus presents new products during Roadshow in Wrocław

Warsaw, April 24, 2007 – Amadeus, the global leader in IT solutions for the travel and tourism industry, has introduced its latest new and improved products to the Polish market: Amadeus Agency Internet Engine (Sirius) v.3, Amadeus Service Fee Manager, Amadeus Quality Control, Amadeus Tours Suite and Amadeus Hotels system. This series of modern and highly functional products for travel agencies, travel portals and hotels, was presented to participants at the “Amadeus Roadshow” in Wrocław this week.

The presentation in Wrocław was the latest in a series of seminars organised by Amadeus in a tour of seven Polish cities. It was an opportunity for participants to learn about new solutions offered by the company on the local market, and to take part in systems consultations with experts.

 

Speaking about the presentation in Wrocław, Ireneusz Morganiec, Chairman and CEO of Amadeus Polska, said: “Amadeus has been present in the Polish market for 14 years now, in which time we have earned the trust of many local travel industry companies. During the Wroclaw Amadeus Roadshow, several products were presented from the broad range of Amadeus solutions on offer on the Polish market.

 

Amadeus Agency Internet Engine (Sirius) v.3 is ideal for travel agencies and online travel portals that plan to introduce online sales of their services and to make it possible for their customers to make bookings of flights, hotel rooms, cars, etc. This exceptional product is characterised by its large flexibility and its extensive options for customising to meet the needs of travel agencies. Amadeus Agency Internet Engine (Sirius) v.3 is equipped with Amadeus Master Pricer tool, which allows the user to search the cheapest and most advantageous prices and flight connections in the online booking system.

 

Another product presented was Amadeus Service Fee Manager – a solution created in response to changing trends in the travel services market. It is aimed at both airlines and travel agencies and allows them to automatically calculate service fees.

 

Amadeus Quality Control is a product aimed at improving quality control with bookings. With the help of rules defined by the user, it verifies the quantity and accuracy of specific elements regarding the booking and its overall accordance with the needs of the agency and its customers. The solution, integrated with Amadeus Selling Platform, is composed of two components: Quality Control Manager and Quality Control Rule Checker. The first is used by the system administrator in the travel agency, and the second by airline ticket clerks. The product speeds up the booking process and maintains quality. The use of this product allows service times to be cut to a minimum.

 

Amadeus Tours Suite is a Web browser-based product for travel agencies that sell tourist packages. Its features include access to tour operators, ferry and hotel bookings with an option of voucher printing, booking of TUI and Scan Holiday offers (with the printout of confirmation in Polish), as well as access to train schedules on European connections served by Deutsche Bahn and PKP (Polish Railways).

 

Amadeus Hotels system – A powerful application with a user-friendly graphic interface,  this provides a rapid and engaging way to present customers with various hotel options while meeting more of their expectations as regards their planned journey. May will also see the anouncement of a new loyalty programme, developed by Amadeus Polska, for employees of travel agencies who make hotel bookings.
