Amadeus bolsters its commitment to the CESE region with the opening of a Regional Solution Centre

Located in Warsaw, the centre will improve time-to-market and customization of solutions

Amadeus, a leading provider of technology and distribution solutions for the travel and tourism industry, has opened a Solution Centre for the CESE (Central Eastern and Southern Europe) region.

Amadeus’ new centre will create travel IT solutions to cater to CESE travel agencies’ needs, including Sales & e-Commerce, Consulting and Business Management solutions. This new technological hub, fully dedicated to CESE, will improve Amadeus’ time to market while better accommodating the growing demand of Amadeus’ IT services that the region is experiencing. The centre will also provide further support to the onsite technical staff already spread among the 32 countries[1] where Amadeus has presence in this strategic region, from Russia, to Poland and from Estonia to Turkey.

The Solution Centre will be headquartered in Warsaw, Poland, a large and stable travel market with technologically advanced customers where travel agencies are increasingly demanding IT solutions to improve their business performance and service to customer. The opening of this regional technological centre in the heart of CESE supports Amadeus’ ongoing investment strategy for the region. It is aligned with the company’s objective to consolidate its position as the preferred travel IT provider and represent an important element in the company’s global strategy of regionalization.

“The travel industry in the CESE region is facing new challenges that are changing the scenario and our customers have understood that investing in IT is the key to succeed in the mid to long term” commented Juan Antonio Carrasco, Director of CESE, Amadeus. “The opening of this Solution Centre is a new milestone in our long-standing relationship with this key region, where Amadeus has heavily invested over the last 20 years.”

Amadeus will leverage on the successful experiences recorded in other markets in the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific, where the concentration of technical resources to deliver solutions for a specific region has brought unmatched benefits for Amadeus’ customers.

The Warsaw Solution Centre will be led by Jean Marc Garzulino and will benefit from his solid experience in product development and sales in Amadeus’ central development premises in Nice, and from having established and run similar centres to this latest in Poland. “Amadeus’ new technological centre is in CESE to properly serve our customers in the region. From our experience we know that bringing the resources closer to where they are needed is the key to success” commented Jean Marc Garzulino, Head of CESE Solution Centre, Amadeus. “We have the ambition of a prompt and solid development of the CESE Solution Centre. We are convinced that it will soon become a reference within Amadeus and that this model will be mirrored in more regions worldwide.”
