Eberhard Hagg, Senior Vice President, General Manager, Amadeus Data Processing Centre has been named one of Computerworld's Premier 100 IT Leaders for 2009! Computerworld’s Premier 100 IT Leaders Awards programme honours the "top of the tops" in technology, i.e. executives who show exemplary technology leadership in resolving pressing business problems. Honorees "demonstrate the ability to foster creativity and challenging work environments, envision fresh approaches to business challenges and effectively manage IT investments". Computerworld is the leading technology publication in the US with an online audience of over two million unique, monthly visitors and a print audience of 1.2 million readers a week.

José Antonio Tazón, former President, Amadeus IT Group received several very prestigious awards over the last 2 years:
GEBTA Lifetime Achievement award - April 2008 saw José Antonio Tazón being granted the 2008 GEBTA lifetime achievement award in recognition of his work in the tourism industry. The Guild of European Business Travel Agents (GEBTA) is the leading Spanish consortium of travel agencies specialising in business travel. This was the fifteenth year of the prestigious annual awards at which GEBTA recognises professionals and institutions related to corporate travel.
Merit in Business - In November 2007, the World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO), the United Nations agency for sustainable tourism and the leading international organisation in the field of tourism, awarded José Antonio Tazón its Plaque for Merit in Business “to recognise his professional career at the helm of the company, a leading player in the travel services distribution industry”.
Medal for Merit in Tourism - The fourth quarter of 2007 saw the award being granted by the Spanish Ministry for Industry, Tourism and Commerce. It recognised José Antonio Tazón’s role as a global leader in technology solutions for the travel industry. Created in 1962, the Medal and Plaque for Merit in Tourism are civil, honorific national awards and the highest honour the Government of Spain grants to people and organisations which, through their actions, have stood out in the promotion of tourism, actively supported it, provided services relevant to Spanish tourism or offered a positive image of Spanish tourism in an international context.
