The second half of 2017 has been an exciting one when it comes to the many voices sharing their stories here on the blog, both from colleagues around the company who share their unique expertise to our valued customers. Our IT systems connect travelers to the journeys they want, linking them to travel agents, search engines, airlines, tour operators, airports, hotels, railways and cruise lines. We strongly believe in working closely with each customer in partnership, and we’re honored to have some of our customers and industry partners pen their thoughts on how our technology has impacted their businesses and processes.
For airlines, our Altéa Suite and Click for Change platform featured in posts from Avianca, Avianca Argentina, Air Serbia and Virgin Australia. In particular, customer experience and ancillary strategies were discussed in guest posts from the Head of Avianca’s Frequent Flyer Program; Garuda’s Vice President, the Chief Commercial Officer from Avianca Argentina; Air Serbia’s General Manager Commercial; Virgin Australia’s Manager, Flight Planning Services and the Corporate Citizenship Director, Avianca Holdings.
Almaty Airport and Hong Kong International Airport shared how our airport IT solutions and cloud-based technology has impacted their operations. Matthew Lee, CEO of OACIS, explained how the world’s first ‘pop up’ airport check-in service was launched in Australia.
Business travel and specifically travel and expense management featured in guest posts from HRS and LSE. The Vice President Global Partnerships, HRS, shared his insights on the HRS and Amadeus partnership to integrate their meetago service with Amadeus cytric Travel & Expense.
Dr. Alexander Grous, Lecturer in the Department of Media and Communications at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), shared how the report, Managing Every Mile, explores ways business leaders can better understand their T&E spending to meet their travel objectives.
Lufthansa City Center’s Jens Schuster, Senior Director, Franchising, talked about their experience in creating a tailored travel app for their international travel agency network and Alan Murray Hayden, Assistant Director, Timatic, IATA wrote about our collaboration to develop a new solution to replace the legacy cryptic Timatic.
Premier Inn partnered with us on the integration of a new hospitality platform to underpin its customer commitment. The UK based hotel chain adopted our cloud-based CRS and PMS and the Amadeus Payments platform.
