In December 2001 Tomás López Fernebrand was appointed as Corporate Secretary and Legal Adviser to the Board of Directors. Since January 1999, Tomás has been Vice President and General Counsel, taking the role of Chief Legal Officer for the Amadeus Group.

Previously, since April 1996, he had been Associate General Counsel in the Amadeus Group, providing legal counsel to Amadeus Marketing (both in Madrid and Nice). In addition, he supervised and co-ordinated the legal and contractual support required by local Amadeus Commercial Organizations worldwide.

Tomás joined the Amadeus Group in 1988 as Senior Corporate Counsel. In that capacity he designed and implemented the contractual structure of Amadeus Marketing and for establishing the NMCs. He also assisted in the creation of the two other subsidiaries, Amadeus Development (France) and Amadeus Data Processing (Germany). Having participated during 1989 in the drafting of the Council regulation on a Code of Conduct for CRSs in the European Union, Tomás is well versed with the laws that govern our business.

He holds a Law degree from the Universidad Autónoma of Madrid, Spain, and an MBA from Florida International University in Miami, Florida.

A Spanish national, Tomás is a native of Gothenburg, Sweden. His full command of Spanish, English and Swedish, and working capability in French, make him additionally valuable in Amadeus's multicultural environment.
