Bertrand Kientz

VP, Product and Software Development Strategy

Bertrand was appointed to his current position in March 2009, reporting to Philippe Chérèque and Jean-Paul Hamon. He is responsible for product portfolio strategy, product cycle governance, architecture and development optimisation and support to developers and product managers in terms of common methods, tools and processes.

Bertrand joined Amadeus in February 2008 as Vice President, Software Development Strategy (SDS) reporting to Jean-Paul Hamon, Executive VP Development.

In this role, Bertrand provided support to all Development divisions in terms of architecture, software engineering, project planning and cost studies. In addition, he managed the Development Sourcing strategy - internally with the various development centres and externally with partners. In the IIS area, he was in charge of delivering corporate applications and office automation solutions.

Bertrand joined Amadeus from JCDecaux, the worldwide leader in outdoor advertising, where he held the position of CIO from 2001. Prior to JCDecaux, Bertrand worked for 18 years at Air France in various positions in Finance, Business and IT. His last assignment was Senior VP, Application Development, responsible for the full range of applications of the airline.

Bertrand graduated from ENSTA (Ecole Nationale Superieure des Techniques Avancées) in Paris and holds a post-engineer doctorate in Applied IT modelling.
