In 2006, Amadeus completed the acquisition of German online pioneer TravelTainment, a provider of online technology in the German leisure travel market, whose clients include Expedia, Thomas Cook, TUI, Travelchannel, Opodo and Avigo. TravelTainment is an Application Service and Content Provider and provides consumer and retail optimized IT solutions for the effective sale of travel products. The company currently operates in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Poland and the UK and has been at the forefront of online leisure selling with its unique offer for the business-to-consumer travel market. 'You! & Amadeus' wanted to hear about the customized solutions it, together with Amadeus, is going to be able to offer our customers and persuaded Ralf Usbeck, CEO TravelTainment and Axel Mueller, Senior Commercial Manager Amadeus Tours, Amadeus to unveil their plans.
