On the 26th April, a ceremony will take place to announce the 15 finalists for WTTC’s 2017 Tourism for Tomorrow Awards in each of the five categories - Community, Destination, Environment, Innovation, and People.
As the 2017 Awards fall within the UN International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development, all 15 finalists will be chosen on the basis that they show great commitment to “support a change in policies, business practices and consumer behavior towards a more sustainable tourism sector than can contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals”. Amadeus is proud sponsor of the innovation award.
Lucas Bobes, Head of Sustainability, Amadeus It Group, will be one of the 15 Tourism for Tomorrow Awards judges from within the Travel & Tourism sector who represent some of the world's leading experts in sustainable tourism. The Winner Selection Committee will be chaired by Fiona Jeffery OBE, Chair of the WTTC Tourism for Tomorrow Awards.
