World Economic Forum - Sustainable Development Impact Summit

Organised by the World Economic Forum, this event is dedicated to accelerate progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris climate change agreement, promoting in particular public-private cooperation.

Start Date: 18/09/2017
End Date: 19/09/2017

Venue: New York City, United States

Delivering on the ambitions of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Paris climate agreement will require accelerating public-private cooperation and deploying new technological solutions. The Sustainable Development Impact Summit aims to advance both by providing a multistakeholder platform for concerted action.
The World Economic Forum works closely with leaders from government, business, academia and civil society who will be present in New York during the United Nations General Assembly to increase the impact of existing multistakeholder initiatives, catalyse new partnerships and alliances and explore how the advanced technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution could be better leveraged for sustainable development.
At Amadeus, we are conscious that the environmental sustainability of the travel and tourism sector is a common objective for all industry players and that little can be achieved in isolation. For this reason, we work with global stakeholders -such as the World Economic Forum or UN agencies- in different initiatives that share the common long-term objective of travel industry sustainability.
Lucas Bobes, Head of Sustainability at Amadeus has been invited to participate in the panel "Achieving Internet for All" at the Sutainable Development Impact Summit 2017.
