Madrid, Spain, 29 March 2012: Amadeus, a leading travel technology partner and transaction processor for the global travel and tourism industry, announces it has signed a five-year agreement with UNIGLOBE Travel, the world’s largest single-brand travel franchise, to provide content distribution services and IT solutions worldwide.

This five year contract renewal will extend UNIGLOBE TMC access to Amadeus inventory of 430 bookable airlines, over 110,000 hotel properties, 30 car rental companies and 22 of the world’s cruise lines, aiming to incentivise growth of bookings within the UNIGLOBE network both organically and internationally. The agreement will cover India, Belgium, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Kenya, Mexico, Slovenia, and South Africa amongst other countries. The two companies continue to work together as part of a long-term strategic technology partnership to offer specialised travel services to mid-sized corporate accounts and vacation travellers.

Albert Pozo, Vice President Multinational Business & Corporate Travel, Amadeus commented: “Amadeus is proud to extend and grow its successful partnership with UNIGLOBE Travel to new territories. UNIGLOBE clients will benefit from a truly global travel management programme with full visibility of their travel costs. Powered by Amadeus technology, the UNIGLOBE network will be able to access consistent and high quality data and manage real-time travel information across the globe.”
