Amadeus teams further with SAP to deliver enhanced integrated travel management and expense solution

Amadeus today announced an expanded partnership with SAP AG, the world's leading provider of business software, to market an enhanced travel management and expense solution for corporations.

• Amadeus extends existing 8+ year global partnership with SAP to jointly market integrated travel management and expense solution

• The new solution is already available and is compatible with existing SAP® solutions


Madrid, Spain, 24 July, 2008: Amadeus, a leading global technology and distribution partner for the travel and tourism industry, today announced an expanded partnership with SAP AG, the world’s leading provider of business software (*), to market an enhanced travel management and expense solution for corporations.

Made up of the travel expense management functionality in the SAP® Travel Management application and Amadeus eTravel Management, this approach responds to customer demand for open, modular travel management solutions that can work with their existing chosen expense systems rather than alternative stand-alone platforms. It also brings corporations the benefits of regular automatic upgrades of Amadeus e-Travel Management, which will be fully compatible with their SAP solution-based environments.

This solution, built on the long-term partnership between Amadeus and SAP, is available now and will be marketed by both companies to corporations worldwide, including existing customers of SAP Travel Management.

SAP Travel Management, part of the SAP ERP application, provides software that ensures substantial, immediate and ongoing savings. .

For end-users, the integrated package achieves a more automated, seamless, speedier workflow, reducing the time required to process expense claims. For management, the solutions brings improved data accuracy and security, more accurate claims and a more comprehensive view of travel spend enabling greater travel programme effectiveness.
