Qantas.com and Amadeus e-Travel awarded Outstanding Achievement accolade by the Interactive Media Awards

Qantas.com and Amadeus e-Travel have been awarded 'outstanding achievement' in the travel and tourism category of this year's Interactive Media Awards.

  • Working in partnership, Amadeus e-Travel and Qantas have reached new levels of user experience to drive customer loyalty

    Madrid, 16 November, 2006: Qantas.com and Amadeus e-Travel have been awarded ‘outstanding achievement’ in the travel and tourism category of this year’s Interactive Media Awards. Judged across five key criteria – including design, content, usability, feature functionality and cross browser compatibility – Qantas.com scored 474 out of 500. On feature functionality and content, the website secured 100 out of 100.

    The Interactive Media Awards, judged by a panel of leading experts drawn from organisations such as Microsoft, Time Warner and The New York Times, seek to raise the standards of websites across all key elements. The awards are open to entries from organisations across the world.

    On receiving the award, John Lonergan, General Manager, Direct Channels, Qantas, said: “It is important that we continue to ensure the best customer experience on our qantas.com if we are to maintain our reputation for excellence in customer service. Partnering with Amadeus e-Travel, we have been able to introduce new features to enhance usability, we have been able to reach new levels of self-servicing online.”
