Amadeus e-Service driving success for airlines' frequent flyer programmes
Amadeus announced that Lufthansa is successfully providing award ticket bookings with Amadeus e-Service on its website and on miles-and-more.com, Europe's largest frequent flyer programme.
Madrid, 5 July 2006: Amadeus, a global leader in technology and distribution solutions for the travel and tourism industry today announced that Lufthansa is successfully providing award ticket bookings with Amadeus e-Service on its website and on miles-and-more.com, Europe’s largest frequent flyer programme. Finnair has also now shifted 50% of its award ticket bookings to its website, finnair.com, which is powered by Amadeus e-Travel.

The award ticket website is available in 11 languages and is open to all the 11 million customers of miles-and-more.com, Europe’s largest frequent flyer programme. Our customers are delighted by Amadeus’ award service and this can only add to customers’ satisfaction and loyalty levels. Miles & More partner airlines can access the Amadeus e-Service solution, giving their users the same quality of service available on our website.”
Amadeus e-Service consists of several e-commerce servicing capabilities such as an award calendar, rebooking, product attributes charges, and e-vouchers. Amadeus e-Service is integrated in the overall Amadeus e-Travel Airline Suite providing shopping, booking, and servicing solutions.
