Sabine is Amadeus’ Chief Human Resources Officer for the company’s global workforce, spanning over 100 countries and 12,000 employees. In addition, she leads the group’s communications and brand activities. Sabine is based in Madrid and is a member of the Amadeus Executive committee.
Sabine has over 20 years of international management experience across the technology, financial services, private equity, aviation and travel industry. She joined Amadeus from Citigroup where she served as Head of Human Resources responsible for more than 30,000 employees across the Global Consumer Group in Europe, Middle East & Africa. Sabine started her career as a Global Management Associate in Citibank and worked in Marketing, Finance, Risk as well as Human Resources.
She has specific expertise in aligning a company’s talent agenda with the business strategy and company culture - in particular, the development of talent and pipelines in competitive markets as well as large-scale organizational, cultural and business transformation. In addition to managing the human capital aspects of the Amadeus IPO, Sabine has significant experience in global mergers and acquisitions and post-merger integration activities.
Sabine served as Executive Director on the Board of Bank Handlowy, one of Poland’s largest listed financial institutions, where she was a member of both the Risk and the Remuneration Committees.
Sabine has worked and lived in the USA, UK, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, and Spain. She holds an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management (USA) and a Masters Degree in Organizational Psychology from the Catholic University in Eichstaett (Germany). She is a German native and speaks English and French.
