Fabrizio Calcabrini was appointed Vice President of Airline IT Solutions at Amadeus in March 2015. Based in Nice, Fabrizio oversees the management of the portfolio of Products offered to the Airlines: the Amadeus Passenger Servicing System (Altéa Suite) and the additional modules, such as Digital and Merchandizing solutions, Revenue Management, Revenue Accounting, etc... In addition to products, he manages a Portfolio of Services that help Amadeus airlines grow their business and keep their competitive edge. Fabrizio’s organisation is also actively involved in supporting customer acquisition and retention.
From 2005 to 2009, he held the position of Development Director of the Altéa Departure Control system, based in London. In this role, he built and deployed the platform with two launch customers, Qantas and Finnair.
Fabrizio joined Amadeus in 1990 as a Development Systems Analyst and then took on various positions in the Development group. He contributed to the design and construction of the Altéa platform in the Reservation and Inventory areas and participated in the development of solutions in the Travel Leisure domain (Car, Insurance, Cruises, Tours, Rail, etc…).
Before joining Amadeus, Fabrizio worked for Galileo in the UK for two years and for Sigma in Italy for three years, developing solutions for the airline industry.
