Albert Pozo is the President of Amadeus Asia Pacific. Appointed in August 2015, Albert spearheads the company’s strategy for travel distribution and new business areas including rail, hotel, travel intelligence and payments.
Based in Amadeus’ regional headquarters in Singapore, Albert is responsible for the region’s 35 markets and more than 2,200 employees. His leadership focus is to ensure all travel players in the region continue to have access to the latest technology, content, and insights, so as to cater to the changing demands of Asia Pacific travellers.
Albert is also driven by his passion for customer service, innovation and diversity.
Until July 2015, he was Vice President, Global Customer Group, based in Madrid, where he led the commercial activity, strategy and business development for Amadeus’ global customers. Albert played a pivotal role in driving new customer wins and strengthening global partnerships.
Prior to this, Albert was Managing Director, Travel Services & Leisure. In this role he was accountable for developing the strategy to capitalise on Amadeus’ growth potential in travel services and leisure distribution.
Albert first joined Amadeus in 1993 and has held a variety of roles including Managing Director of Amadeus Germany, Director of Product Marketing and Senior Manager, Airlines Sales and Direction. His former roles have seen him successfully manage the growth of Amadeus to expand its leadership position in diverse geographies in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Prior to Amadeus, Albert worked for Swissair for five years.
A Spanish native, Albert holds a degree in Linguistics. He speaks fluent Spanish, English, French and German.
