The Republic of the Philippines consists of 7,107 islands that are categorized broadly under three main geographical divisions: Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Its capital city is Manila while its most populous city is Quezon City; both are part of Metro Manila. With a population of 99 million people, the Philippines is the seventh-most populated country in Asia and the 12th most populated country in the world. Multiple ethnicities and cultures are found throughout the islands. The Philippines was part of the Spanish Empire for more than 300 years resulting in the predominant religion in the country being Roman Catholicism.
The Philippines has a tropical maritime climate and is usually hot and humid with three seasons: the hot dry season or summer from March to May; the rainy season from June to November; and the cool dry season from December to February. The average yearly temperature is around 26.6 °C (79.9 °F).
As a newly industrialized country, the Philippine economy has been transitioning from one based on agriculture to one based more on services and manufacturing. The country's total labor force is around 41 Million with the agricultural sector employing close to 32% and the industrial sector employing around 14% of the workforce. 47% of workers involved in the services sector are responsible for 56% of GDP.
There are some 175 individual languages in the Philippines, 171 of which are living languages, while 4 no longer have any known speakers. According to the 1987 Philippine Constitution, Filipino and English are the official languages. Filipino is a standardized version of Tagalog, spoken mainly in Metro Manila and other urban regions. Both Filipino and English are used in government, education, print, broadcast media, and business.

Situated in the heart of the central business district, Makati City, Ayala Avenue is a main thoroughfare easily accessible by public transport. Amadeus Phillipines occupies an office space of 1,615 square meters on the 34th and 36th floors of LKG Tower. The 36th floor houses the local Amadeus office and the Amadeus Corporate University where travel agents, schools and universities are trained on the system. The 34th floor houses the regional helpdesk and the regional data encoding services teams which support Amadeus’ customers in Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, Hongkong and the Philippines, as well as some North America customers. Amadeus Philippines also has offices in Visayas and Mindanao. In Visayas, Amadeus is in Cebu City housed together with airline companies like Philippine Airlines and Delta Airlines. Amadeus’ office in Mindanao is located in Ladislawa, Davao. Amadeus has 5-star standard office premises and provides its employees with state of the art office equipment and work stations, meeting rooms and training rooms.
