Amadeus Electronic Miscellaneous Document (EMD)

Electronic Miscellaneous Document (EMD) is an industry standard electronic document used to track the sale and usage of ancillary services such as excess baggage and seat allocation fees. Amadeus EMD Server enables airlines to issue, store, distribute and manage EMDs, making way for smoother, paperless transactions. Airlines can sell services linked to a flight coupon (e.g. in-flight services, excess baggage or upgrade fees), or other services (e.g. booking change fees, residual value, lounge access or vouchers). Amadeus EMD Server is fully integrated across the Altéa suite and is compliant with EMD industry mandates.
