ExpressJet Airlines will take to the skies with Amadeus Technology

U.S. regional carrier will benefit from Results by Amadeus Customer Management Solution as it begins its newly branded operations

MIAMI, March 12, 2007 – Amadeus, a global leader in technology and distribution solutions for the travel and tourism industry, today announced that ExpressJet Airlines, a Houston-based regional carrier, has deployed Results by Amadeus Customer Management Solution (CMS) to serve its reservations, inventory, and departure control needs.

“As ExpressJet takes to the skies under its own banner, Amadeus's technology solutions will enable us to run a smooth, cost-efficient operation,” said Jim Ream, CEO for ExpressJet Airlines.  “We are impressed with Amadeus’s proven capabilities with other airlines, and expect the solutions they provide to play a critical role in enabling us to deliver superior customer service and streamline business operations.”

Results by Amadeus CMS is specifically designed to meet the customer operations needs of low cost carrier and regional airline business models.  The open-source IT platform delivers rich functionality across critical airline operations, including inventory, reservations, fares, pricing and departure control.   Based on highly scalable and flexible IT architecture, all of Amadeus's CMS solutions help carriers maximize operational efficiencies, cost savings and revenue.

“At Amadeus, we are excited to work with ExpressJet and their highly talented team to achieve their vision and to be a part of their continuing success story," said Peter von Moltke, Senior Vice President of the Airline Business Group for Amadeus North America. “ExpressJet is the market’s latest confirmation that Amadeus technology solutions deliver operational efficiencies for airlines, no matter the size or business model of the carrier.”

Most importantly, von Moltke added, Amadeus's next generation technology solutions enable airlines to achieve a new level of differentiated customer service that was not possible with the previous generation of airline reservations systems.

ExpressJet is expected to begin operations independently this April.  The carrier operates a young fleet of 50-seat Embraer regional jets and will serve 24 small- and mid-sized cities across the U.S. West Coast, Southwest and Midwest regions.

Today, over 215 network, regional and low cost airlines rely on Amadeus to deliver and support mission-critical applications. Amadeus offers a range of solutions for each type of airline, from the low-cost to the full service carriers, and is committed to being the premier IT services provider to the airline industry.
