'Plane Training is a young, dynamic and experienced company specialising in Travel industry GDS training. Created as a result of the closure of the well-known Chameleon Training and Consulting business in 2003, 'Plane Training has established working relationships with travel industry partners.

GDS Courses for the UK college market

Courses for College students have been developed in conjunction with our experienced training specialists, ‘Plane Training.
In conjunction with Amadeus UK, ‘Plane Training have developed three new courses that provide Travel and Tourism students with a work related qualification that today’s travel industry employers recognise and are actively looking for.

Courses details
We have designed the following modularised courses which run for 12/13 weeks (2 hours per week) and all courses have access to live Amadeus GDS (not canned or simulated systems that can quickly become outdated):
§ Amadeus Reservations (endorsed by Amadeus)
§ Fares and Ticketing Level 1 (endorsed by Amadeus and Star Alliance)
§ Fares and Ticketing Level 2 (endorsed by Amadeus and Star Alliance)
The above courses can be trained by:
§ Experienced ’Plane Training trainers at a cost of £40 per hour plus expenses
§ The college’s own lecturers
If the latter option is chosen, your lecturers will be trained via our ‘Train the Trainer’ workshops. Lecturers will be required to pass an exam in order to deliver the courses (95% pass mark) and their performance will be monitored. Trainer workshop courses will be run every quarter and more intensively during the last quarter to be prepared for the new academic year.
‘Plane Training’s responsibility to you
Whichever training method you choose, rest assured that all courses will be delivered to the highest standard using the best and most up-to-date course material. ‘Plane Training will supply lecturers’ manuals, master markers, student course manuals, exam papers and certificates.
‘Plane Training will also ensure the correct and timely marking of all exam papers. Students with an 85% or greater pass mark will receive a full certificate and students who achieve a lower pass mark will receive an attendance certificate, or will have the chance to re-sit the exam. All certificates will be endorsed by either Amadeus or Amadeus and Star Alliance if it is for the Fares and Ticketing courses.
