63 airlines now participate in Amadeus’ full content option

Scandinavia 31 January: Amadeus launched a new full content programme in Europe in January, 2008. This full content programme guarantees that the airlines’ full range of fares and offers are representated in Amadeus’ system. It is not possible to find cheaper tickets on the airlines’ websites or in other reservation systems.

34 airlines have already signed a three-year agreement to follow the programme, including France-KLM, Iberia, Malmöaviation, Finnair and Cimber. A further 29 airlines have signed one-year agreements to distribute their full content via Amadeus.

The three-year agreement is an extension of the one-year agreement introduced in 2005. The agreement guarantees travel agents in Europe access to the best possible fares for their customers until the end of 2010. In line with the terms of the agreement, travel agents will have access to the airlines’ rull range through Amadeus without a surcharge.

“Here it Scandinavia, it is particularly satisfying to see that Cimber Air elected to sign a three-year agreement that guarantees our customers their full range and fares. Cimber Air has not had this type of agreement with Amadeus before so it is positive news that is especially welcomed by our Danish travel agents,” comments Markus Pehrsson, Content Manager  på Amadeus Scandinavia.

For travel agents, the agreement means that those representing these full content airlines will be able to offer the same selection as offered on:

  • The airlines’ own websites
  • The airlines’ own reservation system
  • Other distribution systems
