The Amadeus Rail Reservation Module delivers rich and complex funtionality to your reservations staff, requiring nothing more than an internet browser. The reservation process enables reservation agents to easily request availability, obtain a fare quote, reserve a seat/berth, enter passenger details, enter payment details, and generate ticket/s. The Reservation solution has a rich functionality to ensure that you are able to manage all booking types (e.g. group, disabled, employee and cargo etc.).
Train scheduled, estimated, and actual times are tracked along with delay messages.
Amadeus Rail Reservation creates financial transaction records whenever a sale or refund is made. These FTRs contain complete details of the transaction and are downloaded nightly to the railways financial system as part of the FTR reconciliation process. The Cash Drawer provides a complete record of all the financial transactions that a reservation agent has performed within a specified time period (e.g. on a daily basis or for the duration of a shift).
System queues are available to assist a rail carrier with daily operations (e.g. Cancellations, Groups, Confirm from Waitlist, Inventory warning, etc.), thus making workloads easy to distribute.

| PNR Details | Passenger Name Records (PNRs) contain all passenger information including names, itinerary, Special Service Requests (SSRs), remarks, contact details, OPTL-Option to to Puchase Time Limit, discount entitlements, price override,and payment details. Exists a complete record of PNR history by storing a new version of a PNR each time it is updated. Supports complex bookings, e.g. passengers can have different itineraries or passengers can travel the same services in different classes. |
| On-line Credit Card Authorisation | It accepts credit card payments for bookings. Can be customised to interface to any payment gateway. |
