Amadeus Success at Tour Salon 2006!
After several years of absence Amadeus was an exhibitor at Tour Salon 2006 Fairs in Poznan.
It was an opportunity to present new Amadeus image. At the beginning Amadeus was only a system provider for travel and leisure branch, now Amadeus has become the chosen technology partner for Travel Agencies and apart of state-of-the-art solutions can offer many additional services like business consultancy, technical help and marketing support. ‘&’ (ampersand) sign, which promotes Amadeus brand, is considered as ‘more’ for business.
Amadeus stand for TOUR SALON 2006 has been prepared accordingly to new corporate policy using the newest trends in fairs presentation. It had been designed by Gruppo INK from Madrid and has been made by Expostyl from Warsaw. It was appraised very high both by Clients and our special guests. Among others our stand was visited by Tomasz Wilczak – Minister of Economy, Jan Korsak – Chairman of Polish Chamber of Tourism and Bogusław Zalewski – Director of International Poznan Fairs.
On Amadeus stand there was a separated presentation area with a plasma screen for the audience (cinema style) where we performed presentations of the latest Amadeus solutions for tourist market. On-site there were computer stands installed where guests had an opportunity to take individual system or helpdesk consultancy. We presented solutions like Amadeus Selling Platform (Vista) v. 2.3 – new version of reservation platform, Amadeus Internet Engine (SIRIUS) v. 3 - new on-line application, Amadeus Agency Manager - Poland (ALMOS) – mid-office system and also Amadeus Leisure Platform – Poland – a program for selling tourist offers.
One of the most important Events on our stand was a launch of Amadeus Insurance. As a first GDS on the Polish market, Amadeus offers EUROPEJSKIE (ERV) insurances through reservation platform. Our Customers had a possibility to see a presentation and receive a detailed information about ERV.
During Trade Fairs Amadeus rewarded Travel Agencies with the growth of business (over 50%).
In off-line competition the winners were the following Travel Agencies: Polaris Travel, Furnel, Grupa Travel, Asia Travel, Travel Express and Travelplanet. The best on-line Agency was Sonata. For new Clients we have prepared promotional offers. Amadeus staff performed many consultations, talks, meetings, individual solution presentations and more.
Amadeus for the second time proved that is a leader on the market in hi-tech technology and professional service. Our success on Tour Salon will pave the way to excellent partnership with our Clients – they just like the system.
