Amadeus Polska presents a practical application of the Amadeus e-Learning educational platform, dedicated to travel agents

A conference concerning Amadeus on-line training

Amadeus, a provider of technology and solutions to the travel and tourism industry, has organized a press conference concerning on-line training using the Amadeus e-Learning platform. This is the first conference of this kind organized by Amadeus Polska with the participation of both the company’s Clients and journalists who write about the travel industry and new technologies. During the conference, the company presented the Amadeus e-Learning solution and the application of a sample training module.

 

The e–Learning platform is an on-line training panel, available from the Amadeus Polska website, – www.amadeus.com.pl. The training is addressed to travel agents, who after registering and signing in, can use a wide selection of training courses offered by the company. In order to use the system, one needs only a computer with Internet access, no additional applications are needed.

 

On–line training aims to consolidate and broaden the knowledge concerning the Amadeus system among travel consultants, facilitating everyday use of this application. Within the platform, participants plan their own training schedule, educating themselves at their own pace, both at work and at home. After completing the courses, the application allows learners to verify  their knowledge by means of tests, quizzes, and training materials. Moreover, training participants can share their insights concerning the training by means of a discussion forum or e-mail.

 

The e-Learning training offer is especially useful for travel agents who cannot offer training to their employees due to the distance between their offices and the Amadeus Polska headquarters, while agents who have already completed the training at the headquarters can revise their knowledge using the on-line application at no additional cost. After completing the course, participants can print a certificate confirming the completion of specific training courses. The entire application has been designed specifically for user convenience, therefore the easy-to-use panel is accompanied by an extensive help system.

 

The e–Learning educational platform also improves efficiency of the travel agency itself, as it helps to cut down training costs, such as travels or preparation of training materials. Moreover, it can reach to a much greater number of people at the same time.

 

The training offer is divided into four categories: Amadeus Selling Platform, Amadeus System Functionality, Product Demos and Quizzes. The e-Learning platform includes the following training courses: Air and PNR in Amadeus, Selling Platform 2.3 (Graphical), Amadeus Electronic Ticketing-Amadeus Travel Agents, Customer Profiles in Amadeus Selling Platform 2.3 (Graphical), Cars in Amadeus Selling, Platform 2.3 (Graphical), Hotels in Amadeus Selling Platform 2.3 (Graphical), Smart Keys in Amadeus Selling Platform 2.3, Amadeus FareXpert Negotiated Fares e-Learning, A Day in the Life of a Travel Agent.
