New Dubai hub to support the fast-growing Middle East market

Amadeus continues to develop support for Middle East partners and customers through a new hub in Dubai.

New hub for a fast-growing market

Amadeus has announced the opening of its Middle East Regional Hub, to provide even better support to our travel partners in this fast-growing regional market. The new offices will be located on the 16th floor of the Festival Tower in Dubai.

The Dubai hub will serve more than 9800 travel agencies with 36 million bookings and will start its operations with a team of 10 people, all specialists of the region.

Amadeus has long been present in the region with 9 commercial organisations.

Providing end-to-end support for our Middle East travel partners

The key Amadeus business areas represented in the new hub reflect the trends that are revolutionising our Middle East customers' & partners' priorities: the increasing role of airlines in the region; the growth in multinationals/top accounts; the boom in e-commerce and the demand for best-in-class technology.

Amadeus experts based in the hub will provide end-to-end support in: sales and operations; account management; Travel Office Products and Solutions and e-commerce.

Major investments in the region

Investment in the Middle East travel industry is estimated at $3.2 trillion over the next ten years, according to eyefortravel. Last year, bookings increased by 29% - most of them through Amadeus.

Dubai is at the heart of this growth: tourism currently accounts for 30% of  the United Arab Emirates GDP. The number of tourists landing in Dubai is expected to grow to 10 million by 2010 and 15 million tourists in 2015! Dubai is the ideal springboard to enable Amadeus to strengthen its leadership in the Middle East.
