Amadeus Cars, first to achieve 100% e-Voucher
Avis Europe is delighted to have implemented Amadeus Cars e-Voucher globally. This functionality is a great benefit for travel agents as it provides them with the ability to make reservations without having to produce vouchers at the rental counter.
Elaine Cottrell, Distribution Systems Manager, Avis Europe
Amadeus has become the first in the car rental industry to achieve 100% e-Voucher for car rental reservations worldwide.
The Amadeus Cars e-Voucher is an electronic means of payment for car rentals. Following the initiative of the airline industry, the e-Voucher for cars eliminates the need to print and distribute pre-printed forms to travel agents. This inevitably results in the crucial cost savings all organisations are driving towards in today’s market. As well as this, it is a step forward towards greener, more efficient processes for travel agencies with the full withdrawal of the traditional paper vouchers.
Travellers also benefit from cost savings and increased traveller efficiency as they no longer need to show paperwork as proof of reservation or payment when attending at the car rental counter.
This complete withdrawal of paper vouchers puts Amadeus in the lead as technological partner for the car rental industry.
