Amadeus goes to school!

Amadeus is excited to announce a new initiative that will bring our expertise as a leading GDS into university classrooms across North America. We’ve launched a travel and tourism initiative, Amadeus Technology Education Program, which integrates Amadeus technology into the existing travel, tourism and hospitality curriculums of higher learning institutions in the U.S. and Canada. Amadeus’ North American market share has increased by 25 percent in the past five years, and worldwide growth in the travel and tourism industries remains strong year over year. By investing in relationships with educational institutions and the travel professionals of tomorrow, we are making an impact at the ground level – paving the way to greater success for new college graduates and our significant customer base. Moreover, international students studying in the U.S. can take their Amadeus GDS knowledge overseas, since Amadeus solutions are currently used by companies in 190 countries around the world.

We’ve already completed successful semesters at Seneca College in Canada, as well as Miami Dade College in Florida. In addition to seamlessly integrating our program into each college’s current curriculum, we conducted “Train-the-Trainer” sessions, with one of our instructors teaching Amadeus functionality to a member of the college faculty. We also provided each student with access to additional training through our online learning portal, Amadeus e-University® (AeU). And each student received a certificate upon completion of the semester.
