Travelers hunting online for the best bookable fares from United Airlines can now find them faster and easier, thanks to the airline’s implementation of Amadeus’ next-generation massive search technology.

Customers shopping on www.united.com can see the lowest fares available for their desired city pair simply by hovering over options in the return date calendar, enabling them to compare prices and dates on the first page even before submitting their full itinerary search.

“This instant pricing tool is a key part of our reimagined flight booking experience with an emphasis on speed and personalization for our customers,” said Scott Wilson, United’s Vice President of Merchandising and eCommerce. “Partnering with Amadeus is helping us enhance our customers’ shopping experience today, and gives us the technology foundation to create a more customer-centric future.”

Amadeus’ industry-leading search and transaction technology does the heavy lifting behind the scenes, enabling the airline to quickly and easily deliver its lowest available fares to customers earlier in the shopping process.

“Traveler expectations have never been higher. For airlines or any travel company, when it comes to delivering an online retail experience, getting search, shopping and personalization right is the next big opportunity,” said Ilia Kostov, Chief Commercial Officer, Airline IT, Amadeus North America.

United’s new front page online search feature is currently available for select U.S. domestic city pairs in Economy class. Click here to read the full announcement.
