Amadeus e-Ticket Robotic The user or self booking tool queues the completed PNR to a specific queue and e-Ticket Robotic takes it from there. The application retrieves the PNR, performs some simple checks to ensure the PNR is ready to be ticketed and then issues the e-ticket or paper ticket based on the command set in the configuration screen. Once the ticket is issued, a confirmation e-mail is sent to the traveller with PNR details and e-ticket number. In the case where a PNR is not ready to be ticketed, a notification is sent to the travel agency and the PNR is placed onto another queue for manual handling. Amadeus e-Ticket Robotic uses Amadeus Scripting (+Script), the Amadeus front office scripting tool, to access the PNR and to issue the ticket. Unused e-ticket Tracking Report The benefits of e-ticketing are numerous, but when business travel plans are changed at the last minute, it can often be a case of ‘out of sight, out of mind’ with an estimated 3% of unused tickets never being refunded or re-issued. To solve this problem, Amadeus has developed an Unused e-Ticket Tracking Report (UETTR), which quickly searches and reports on previously issued (but unused) e-tickets over a 28-day period. This is yet another example of how Amadeus assists travel agents to offer a pro-active, value added service to their corporate clients. Automated refunds Amadeus Auto Refunds allows the automatic refunding of tickets, both paper and electronic, and reports the transaction to the ticket stock provider.
