Amadeus Remote Ticketing allows an agent in one office to send the flight coupons and passenger receipts to a remote office. Apart from tickets, the agents can also send MCOs, itineraries, mini-itineraries, e-ticketing itinerary receipts, and invoices to be printed at a remote office. In certain markets it is also possible to send boarding passes.
A host office is a full Amadeus travel agency or airline office. It decides where to print documents and issues the document print commands.
The following remote ticketing methods can be provided by Amadeus:
Branch or Remote office
The branch office is a travel agency or airline office in its own right but allows the host to send print requests to its printers.
Satellite Office (STP-Satelite Ticket Printer)
A satellite office is not a full travel agency. It is part of the same corporation as the host office and is located in the same country. It has limited access to Amadeus functionality.
Ticket Delivery Office (TDO)
A ticket delivery office is an office located at an airport or city location approved for the sole purpose of printing travel documents on behalf of accredited agents.
Benefits
- The primary benefit of remote ticketing is that it is convenient. For example, when a corporate travel agency serves the personnel of a company, a ticket printer can be installed in the company premises, so that staffs who order their travel through the travel agency can pick up their travel documents directly at the ticket printer, inside their company.
