Amadeus wins Travel ‘Oscar’ at Dublin Ceremony
Dublin, 22 January 2009: Amadeus, Ireland's leading provider of technology and distribution solutions for the travel and tourism industry was awarded the Best Global Distribution System (GDS) at the recent Irish Travel Trade News Awards.
The ceremony was held in Dublin and welcomed airlines, travel agents, destination management companies, technology providers and media to celebrate the best and brightest in the Irish Travel Industry.
The travel community also crowned the company Best Irish Travel Agency Support 2008. Amadeus currently hold over a third of the Irish market share and provide technology and distribution solutions for a who’s who of Irish clients such as - Club Travel/BTI Ireland, American Holidays, USIT, Gohop.ie, Heffernan’s Travel, E-Travel, Travelbroker, Travelfocus, Falcon Travel, Escape2.ie and Lastminute.ie.”
