Amadeus Passenger Name Record
Amadeus Passenger Name Record (PNR) is the booking record of Amadeus containing all the traveler's information. Amadeus PNR is unique in offering the Non-Homogenous PNR functionality that allows end-users to create a single booking for passengers not sharing the same itinerary. This option for PNR helps to cut the reservation time and improves agent productivity significantly by providing the most integrated and intelligently-automated PNR in the industry.
The PNR includes basic customer data, such as name, contacts, and special needs, as well as the customer's full itinerary, including any hotel, rail, car or any other non-air travel segments.
There are three main types of Passenger Name Records available in Amadeus:
- Amadeus Non-Homogenous Passenger Name Record is a reservation functionality that allows agents to handle a number of passengers with different itineraries in a single PNR. It can be created to accomodate passengers who do not wish to share the entire itinerary. This feature is applicable to Amadeus Individual and Group PNRs.
- Amadeus Individual Passenger Name Record is a reservation functionality that allows agents to handle parties of up to 9 passengers in a single booking.
- Amadeus Group Passenger Name Record is a reservation functionality that allows authorised agents to handle parties of up to 99 passengers in a single booking. Individual names can be entered as received, when customers confirm their travel plans. Advance seat reservations can be requested for Group PNRs via a unique group seat request.
