Amadeus Regional Roadshow CESE

Amadeus is in town! Come and talk to Amadeus. As part of a CESE regional roadshow, Amadeus is visiting some of the most important markets in the region. Meet us in Athens on the 1st of October.

What can I expect?
In September, Amadeus announced the launch of the Regional Solution Centre for CESE, the first of this kind in the region. Led by Jean-Marc Garzulino, this new centre supports Amadeus commitment to the region by catering the specific needs of the CESE travel industry.
This new technological hub will improve Amadeus’ time to market while better accommodating the regions growing demand of Amadeus’ IT services. The centre will also provide further support to the onsite technical staff located in 32 countries, where Amadeus has presence in this strategic region, from Russia to Poland and from Estonia to Turkey. 

The Regional Solution Centre will be headquartered in Warsaw, Poland, a large and stable travel market with technologically advanced customers. Travel agencies are increasingly demanding IT solutions to improve their business performance and service to customers. The opening of this regional technological centre in the heart of CESE supports Amadeus’ ongoing investment strategy for the region. It is aligned with the company’s objective to consolidate its position as the preferred travel IT provider and represents an important element in the company’s regionalization.

Amadeus is recognized as the largest IT investor for the Travel Industry by the European Union, and is always looking to invest in IT for travel providers and travel agencies and strengthen its partnership with the industry players.
Results speak for themselves. More than 50% of airline bookings in CESE are done on airlines that use Amadeus' IT suite for Airlines, Altéa. The Regional Solution Centre is another part in Amadeus strategy to support travel agencies with the best Front, Middle and Back office solutions, to improve their efficiency and profitability and to support them selling more.

In CESE there is a growing number of traditional travel agencies' shifting to the online channel as a way to expand their business. Amadeus' online bookings in the region have recorded a remarkable growth of 23% in this area. Amadeus is supporting travel agencies to develop the most efficient solutions to achieve this goal.

The growing importance of the mobile technology as part of our trips, airline ancillary services, travel agency upselling and cross selling of products, social networks and their impact over consumer... are just  a few of the challenges that travel agencies are facing.
