Amadeus gets new General Manager to head up region.

Effective June 1 2008, Mr. Claes Berggren will replace Mr. Aymeric Lanez as the General Manager for Amadeus East Africa. Claes is taking over from Aymeric Lanez who set up and successfully led commercial operations in East Africa for the past 5 years
Claes started his career in Amadeus Scandinavia in 1990 where he held the position of Sales Manager and Key Account Manager. In 1994 he started off the new market entries for Amadeus in the Baltic States and Russia, and held the position of General Manager for Latvia and Lithuania for 6 years.
In 2002 he left Amadeus to take up the position of Managing Director for a London based company providing IT solutions and software to the hospitality industry in UK and in 2005 he took up the position of Director of Development in a hotel chain based in Prague, Czech Republic, developing internationally branded hotels in the East European markets.
Claesí goal will be to ensure the continued growth of Amadeus in the East African region, consolidate profitability, market share and customer satisfaction in this key market for Middle-East & Africa.
