Amadeus to launch FareAnalyzer at ACTE Global Conference

Patent-pending airfare display for corporate online booking solution gives travelers more flexibility, travel managers tighter control

Miami, 27 April 2006: Amadeus, global technology partner to the travel and tourism industry, today announced FareAnalyzer, a patent-pending airfare display innovation in the
Amadeus e-Travel Management online booking solution. FareAnalyzer lets travelers evaluate a large number of air itinerary options based on multiple criteria – meaning the traveler can quickly categorize, sort and filter flight options based on price, trip duration, departure time, company preferences, number of connections and more. Amadeus will debut FareAnalyzer at the ACTE Global Conference in Atlanta, GA, May 7-9. The functionality is immediately available to
Amadeus e-Travel Management customers in the United States

“When it comes to business travel, travelers are seeking a booking experience that is as easy – or easier – than that of their favorite leisure travel Web sites. This often creates a conflict when travel managers are trying to enforce a travel policy, and travelers perceive too many limitations are being placed on their booking options,” said Scott Gutz, president and CEO of
e-Travel North America, the e-commerce division of Amadeus. “FareAnalzyer was designed with a solution for this conflict in mind. We’ve addressed both travel managers’ and travelers’ needs – providing an easy to use interface that gives travelers the maximum amount of flexibility, while satisfying the need for corporate travel managers to enforce travel policy compliance.”

FareAnalyzer benefits travel managers and travelers alike, providing:

Choice – Travelers can sort and filter air travel options by more than 200 criteria combinations. Other fare matrix displays limit the traveler to fewer comparison options. Likewise, the travel manager can choose which types of fares and options are presented to the traveler, and sort the results by the most preferred flights.

Control – Corporate travel preferences and company policy are seamlessly integrated into the comparison display, which means better control over which options are presented to travelers, and better compliance with the corporate travel policy. Corporate travel managers can control the number of parameters by which results are displayed, so in-policy and company-preferred options are always presented to the traveler clearly.

Convenience – FareAnalzyer provides a dynamic and efficient way for companies to enforce corporate travel policy, while giving travelers the most combinations of in-policy air travel options, and significantly reducing the amount of time it takes to search and book a flight. By providing this new easy-to-use display to travelers, corporations can realize increased adoption of their online booking tools, increased travel policy compliance, and the savings that follow.

“Today, corporations using Amadeus e-Travel Management solutions can reduce ticketing and transaction costs by up to 50 percent, and reduce ticket prices by about 15 percent. With the addition of FareAnalyzer to the user interface, we are confident that businesses will bring new efficiencies to the corporate travel mix, leading to increased employee productivity and an even greater reduction in costs,” said Gutz.

FareAnalyzer is part of the latest version release of Amadeus e-Travel Management (see related announcement). For more information, or to see a live demonstration, visit Amadeus in the Technology Showcase at the ACTE Global Conference, May 7-9.

FareAnalyzer is patent-pending.
