Brighter travel hot-spots at a glance 1995-2020

Posted by Malek Nejjai (Head of Corporate Communication, Amadeus IT Group)

With some industry analysts continuing to predict that travel faces a difficult and uncertain voyage, it certainly pays to be able to compare and contrast global travel and tourism trends.

And so following hot on the heels of last week’s launch of The Travel Gold Rush 2020, today we bring you an exclusive infographic which illustrates both numbers of travellers and travel spend from 1995 up to 2020.

Building on the initial report’s findings, the infographic uses both real and estimated data, and examines how global travel trends have changed and will continue to change region-by-region into the next decade.
