The future of travel depends on the innovation, energy and creativity fuelled by today’s start-up community. Yet many entrepreneurs know that breaking into the travel industry can be an intimidating and complex journey. For the first time in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, Amadeus are engaging with the region’s start-up community with the launch of Travel Tech Challenge.
Travel Tech Challenge invites aspiring entrepreneurs resident in the MENA region to submit their ideas for the ‘next big thing’ in travel technology – an original concept or product that could shape the future of travel.
Challengers are invited to share their idea through a short video entry which will be judged by a panel of Amadeus staff and independent industry experts. Entries will be judged on their originality, business value, feasibility, scalability and quality of pitch. Judges will select five finalists who will be invited to travel to the regional office in Dubai to pitch their idea in person. The chosen winner will be awarded with the tools to help make their idea a reality – including a cash prize and guidance/consultancy from the Amadeus team.
The first stage of the Travel Tech Challenge will be open for entries on 20th September and the competition will close on 20th October.
