Despite the recent and often severe political unrest which has broken out across the region, with tourists set to top 136 million by 2020 and with 4 trillion USD committed to travel and tourism projects across the region, the Middle East still looks set to rival China, India, Latin America and Africa in the race to become the world’s new and dominant travel hub.
With this in mind we caught up with a range of Amadeus experts from across the Gulf, to get their thoughts first-hand on precisely why the Middle East is set to boom and what this means for Amadeus, its customers and the region itself.
As ever we value your thoughts and feedback so please do feel free to share with us your comments!
Our recent report, ‘Securing the prize for the Middle East’, analyses the opportunities and challenges for the region, in its bid to become a dominant global travel hub, in more detail.
