The next in the series of our travel chain videos looks at the check-in and boarding stage.
What I dislike when I travel is to be stuck waiting in queues or repeating information to different staff in the same company over and over. At the same time it’s got to be in the best interest of travel companies themselves to provide a quality experience that makes me, the traveller, feel special. That way I’m much more likely to go back.

Amadeus Altéa Departure Control, which is featured in the video, is just one part of our full Altéa suite of airline IT solutions.
Looking at our airline IT website, I recently learned that we began developing the reservations part of the system back in 1987! That’s a lot of time invested in this area!
Since then we’ve added additional modules such as inventory, departure control and revenue management and recently we signed our 100th Altéa customer – Latin America’s AviancaTaca.
As you can see in the video, our check-in and boarding solutions don’t just stop with airlines.
As someone who stays in hotels quite frequently, I’m excited by the potential Amadeus Hotel Platform has for the guest experience.
Amadeus recently announced the first full implementation of the product with the 120 property hotel chain Dynamique Hôtels Management so I’m looking forward to enjoying the benefits this solution will offer to hotel guests around the world.
