Amadeus Enhancement to ATPCO/SITA Category 05 for Advance Reservation and Ticketing process

Overview: Amadeus is pleased to announce enhancement of Category 05 – Advance Reservation/Ticketing – process, by applying the effective time restrictions, coded in Category 05 for ticketing issuance. Customer Value: With this enhancement, the counting of effective elapsed time will improve the application of Category 05 provisions. Ticketing measured against the reservation/departure dates and time will be processed considering the effective period of time elapsed filed by Airlines. Customer value

Main benefits Enhancement of Category 05 will improve the reliability of time measurement for ticketing issuance. From now on  the time provision expressed in “Period of elapsed time”, in hours and minutes,  will be checked and processed to allow ticket issuance only if the exact conditions are met. Recommendation: Due to impact of counting effective hours values, it is recommended that Airlines review, if necessary, with ATPCO/SITA by Mid of AUG11, whether respective filing in Hours and Days will fit their expectation.     Implementation guidelines Please refer to ATPCO Category 05 Data Application for further information on impacted bytes and values.
