Amadeus Benelux and Rail1 strengthen their partnership
Amadeus Benelux, 19 June 2009: After ten years of successful partnership, Amadeus Benelux, a global leader in technology and distribution solutions for the travel and tourism industry, and Rail1, the organisation within SNCB in charge of the distribution to the travel trade, have announced they are strengthening their partnership in order to deliver best in class booking tools for travel agents and corporations alike.
For corporations, being able to efficiently book rail within Amadeus e-Travel Management is a must in today’s demanding business environment. Amadeus Benelux and Rail 1 have jointly developed a new Benelux Rail Module that consolidates the functionalities already available and builds on the most recent technology to offer a tool that is both comprehensive and user friendly for the travellers, while allowing productivity increase on the travel agent side. The new Benelux Rail module will be released in June 2009.
In a second joint development, Amadeus Benelux and Rail1 are aiming at facilitating the rail booking process for the travel agents. The existing integration of @lantis, Rail1’s booking engine, in Amadeus Selling Platform is being further developed so that both systems will seamlessly connect.
