Amadeus Air
Delivering the right content to our travel agencies around the world.
As a world-leading technology and distribution solutions provider, we deliver unparalleled expertise to the travel and tourism industry, including leading-edge solutions that cover airlines' unique business needs, independent of their size, business model or market reach.
One of our key IT solutions, Altéa Reservations is used today by more than 143 global carriers and is based on a community approach, bringing unique advantages to our travel agency community:
- Enhanced customer servicing
Altéa Reservations carriers and travel agents share the same platform for Passenger Name Records (PNRs), flight, fares, passenger and other information and the same queue mechanism. Consequently, they can freely communicate and exchange this information
Amadeus agents notice that the reloc returned for a booking on an Altéa carrier is the same as the reloc for the booking. This is because the PNR has been created directly in the airline's own reservation system. The airline and the agent is looking at the exact same PNR.
- Access to the highest quality and accuracy of information
Altéa Reservations carriers use the same platform as travel agents as their prime source of information for their own reservation agents worldwide. Consequently, our travel agents are guaranteed the reliability of these carriers’ data in our system.
112 airlines use Altéa Reservation and Inventory, allowing even greater sharing of data throughout their airline operations. For example, travel agencies have real-time visibility of PNR changes during periods of disruption where flights maybe cancelled and passengers re-accommodated. There is no need to wait for a message from the airline.
