Amadeus introduces Virtual Thursday to provide travel agents with a training solution that minimises distruption to day-to-day operations
Sydney, 4 August 2008: AMADEUS, the largest provider of technology to the Australian and New Zealand travel and tourism industry, has recently announced the introduction of Virtual Thursdays, providing Australian travel agents with the latest Amadeus training courses directly from their desk.
Amadeus understands that with today’s business challenges and constraints on time it is difficult for agents to stay on top of the latest developments in technology that will enhance productivity and customer service.
Virtual Thursdays, conducted on the first Thursday of every month, ensures customers have the necessary knowledge and skills to maximise their use of the Amadeus system’s vast array of features by providing high quality, flexible training. Course content is concise and students participate from their desktops, through the use of Amadeus’ specially developed training web site and telephone. The training sessions are instructor-led and interactive, proving an ideal training solution for busy agencies or agencies in remote or rural areas.
Amadeus currently offers Virtual Training courses for Shortcuts, Domestic exchanges, International exhanges, cars; and Profiles and refunds. Amadeus’ highly qualified trainers are currently reviewing new topics which will be announced in the near future.
