Francisco Pérez-Lozao Rüter

VP, Corporate Strategy

Francisco is responsible for defining and supporting the overall strategy definition of the Amadeus Group.  He is also responsible for the Mergers & Acquisitions (and post-merger integration) activities of the Group and for its Strategic Business Development activities, such as the search and development of new business opportunities for Amadeus.  Francisco is currently the Chairman of the Investment Committee of Amadeus, a member of the Management Committee, and on the Board of Directors of several Group companies.

In 1993, Francisco joined Amadeus as Market Manager for Europe.  In 1996, he transferred to the Corporate Strategy area.  As Director and subsequently, VP of Business Development and M&A, he took on responsibility for strategic growth and diversification projects, such as the purchase and restructuring of Opodo, the pan-European online travel portal.  As of January 2009, he has taken full responsibility for the Strategy area of Amadeus.  He reports directly to Luis Maroto, Deputy CEO of Amadeus.

Prior to joining Amadeus, Francisco was a Consultant in the Strategy practice of Accenture and a Research Director at the Technical University of Aachen (Germany).

Francisco, a Spanish-German dual national, holds an MBA from INSEAD, Paris; a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering and a Masters Degree in Operations Research, both from the Technical University of Aachen.
